The Boudoir Ego Story
I never thought in a thousand years I would have the opportunity to have a studio that literally makes me HAPPY to come into work. Then 2018 happened, and as most of you know; I had the opportunity to move into a larger studio. Not only is this studio bigger, but it literally looks so beautiful that I enjoy coming into do “A days’ worth of work”.
I started Boudoir Ego in December of 2013, in my garage! After 8 months of no space, tons of headache, I moved out of my garage, and I partnered with the Horton Grand Hotel San Diego. I had the amazing opportunity to shoot all my boudoir in this beautiful Victorian hotel. I was published a few different times and named this hotel as my location of choice. Business was starting to get busy, so I needed office space and I moved to my small little office (a 8x4 room) in the La Bodega Art Gallery. Then in 2015 to a larger room (12x30) at the La Bodega Art Gallery. I ended closing the Boudoir Ego studio due to a busy demand of weddings (from my other company Blessed Wedding Photography) from 2015-2017 but stayed in the La Bodega Studio. This community literally became my family away from home, and I will be forever grateful for the hospitality and love showed to me there. Then in 2018 I merged my wedding company with another photographer Johanna Kitzman of Studio Freyja. I wanted more time for you ladies, and for boudoir in general so a partner to share my load was needed. We needed more space, the small studio we were in was not going to work with the big plans we have. So here we are now!
That time off literally tore my heart in two different directions, because my heart and my passion was boudoir. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE weddings too, but boudoir is something that I need for myself to feel good. Yes, that’s right I take photos of you and it makes me feel good. I guess it’s just a part of my DNA to help people along, after all I was a pediatric nurse. Knowing I am helping women celebrate their body, and being a woman puts a smile on my face.
So here it is, the NEW boudoir Ego From the beginning to Now!
This was the first video, I had made in my Home studio (garage in 2014) and man have things changed.
When we moved to the Horton Grand...
So much is happening in this 2018 year, it take TONS of work but if I say it will happen it always does.
Thank you all for your continued support, and I cant wait to have you in the New Studio!
